The forest illuminated! Different world.

The woods look so different in the dark.

It is so important to have a good headlight out here. And how different pictures look when you shine a flashlight! It is hard to get good evening pictures, especially when it is really cold. Everything sparkles outside but you can not see it on pictures…. I have tried many many times. It really looks like everything is covered in crystals when it is cold.

You can catch a glimpse of it in the video I made, you can see a sparkle here and there. Imagine them everywhere ๐Ÿ˜€

The pictures are taken with a headlight on fullest. I kind of like the effect.

  1. It looks beautiful Rebecca. I know what you mean about capturing the sparkles on camera. Frustrating, huh?!? Well, it looks great with headlights. COLD, but beautiful. I applaud you just for going out into it in the dark. In the video I was imagining what one would be wearing while trudging through the snow at night. Layers upon layers. Anyway, love it! xo

  3. So far this winter we in Illinois have had less snow than has been recorded in over 100 years….and I’m not complaining! ๐Ÿ™‚ That crunch crunch sound of snow underfoot~that sound goes right through me.

    • While I do appreciate snow (we kinda need it to survive ๐Ÿ™‚ ) I do hope it stops snowing now….. we have about 120 cm now, we really do not need more! I’ll send some your way ๐Ÿ˜€
